After an exceptionally mild start, the month ended up rather average in terms of temperatures and rainfall, with cold and dry weather coming in the latter half of the month. From the 1st until the 7th it was very mild, the highest at 12.8C on the 5th and the highest min of 9.5C on the 4th. There was heavy rain at times. From the 8th until the 19th it became cooler and drier with the lowest of the month at -4.3C being recorded on the 9th. From the 20th until the 29th it became still colder with a number of air frosts, though none were severe. A total of 1½cm of snow fell on the 27th.
