A wet and rather cool month. The month started with a very cool day with the lowest maxima of the month of just 11.4C on the 1st. From the 1st till the 12th it remained fairly cool and very unsettled with some heavy rain on a number of days.The lowest temp of the month, 6.1C on the 6th was recorded during this period.From the 13th to the 18th it became settled and warmer with some sunshine, though not hot the highest temp being 24.3C on the 15th. From the 19th to the 25th it was rather more unsettled with rain at times. The 26th to the 29th saw the warmest weather of the month with the highest max of 26.1C on the 29th and the highest min of 17.0C on the 30th. The morning of the 30th saw another torrential downpour with plenty of thunder which led to local roads flooding, before the return to further unsettled conditions at the end of the month.
